Cooperative Banking Roadmap 2006

The cooperative and SME banking in India have got a major push from the government as they were told by the government to focus more on the priority sector lending. Besides, the economic reforms too helped these banks. With strength of about 2,000 banks all over India the cooperative banking movement has gathered a major momentum and while it is undergoing a major consolidation spree, there had been a need for technology up gradation that has surfaced in order to make sure that these banks can keep themselves afloat in the competitive banking segment.

The event brought together all the cooperative banks across India to discuss issues and concerns related to their business and technology under an event titled The Cooperative Banking Roadmap. The speakers were CEOs and consultants from various leading co-operative banks and the banking federations.
