| What is a Handbook? |
| Banking is a world of
increasing complexity. Complexity is
arising out of the regulators, the competitive
business environment, ongoing innovation
and continuous technology flux. In this
environment, bankers who are involved
in decision-making and policy creation
need a solid knowledge foundation and
up-to-date information to ensure that
they are taking the best possible decisions. Recognizing the bankers’ need to make this quest for information and knowledge easier and less time consuming, Banking Frontiers is launching BankTech Manuscripts – a series of reports on key areas of concern. The content for these manuscripts will be based on inputs from expert bankers, analysts, relevant web sites as well as from the sponsors. This handbook is typically a 40-page document on selected topic, which would be like a buyers guide or reference guide for the bankers. This would include direct responses from very senior bankers, Industry trends gathered from various bankers and Industry sources, white papers and research material from the sponsor, Case studies of your existing clients and some advertisements. This exercise takes a lead-time of minimum two months to be published. |
| ADVANTAGE |
| This handbook would be a ready reckoner
for the bankers, which would ensure
yearlong shelf life. It would ensure
top of the mind brand recall, in regards
to that particular technology. |
| CIRCULATION |
| This handbook is circulated to IT
and functional heads at senior levels
apart from CEOs and Director level audience.
It can also be circulated in the international
market like Middle East / South East
Asian regions upon special request.

| Why should I Participate? |
| With increasing competition among
IT companies, it is becoming increasingly
difficult for banks to differentiate
one IT company from another. To overcome
this problem, several vendors are choosing
to become technology partners with their
major customers. And to become a long-term
partner, it is necessary for IT companies
to educate and inform their customers
about various issues, such as technology
roadmap, technology maturity, emerging
standards, best practices and, of course,
aligning technology with business strategy.
The best way to educate the customer
is to provide information and knowledge
through the medium of a trusted third
party. Banking Frontiers is a well known and trusted publisher in the field of banking technology. And hence the BankTech Manuscripts published by Banking Frontiers will be readily accepted by bankers all over India. By sponsoring these Manuscripts, IT companies can fulfill their objective of positioning themselves as long term technology partners with the banking community. Being selected as a partner is not an easy task. It is like marriage. One selects a life partner very very carefully. But once an IT company is positioned as a long-term partner in the mind of its customer, it automatically gets preferred in the RFP and vendor evaluation phases. The bottom line is that it gets a higher quality and quantity of business from its customers. |

Document conversion is the process
of transforming electronic word processor
or spreadsheet documents into a permanent
raster image format for storage within
a database. Rather than scanning paper
documents, electronic documents are
typically converted to a TIF or JPEG,
which provides an archival quality
text file that retains the visual
formatting and layout of the original
file. This text file can subsequently
be used for full text indexing to
allow retrieval at a later date. Historical Trend Corporations, including those in
the healthcare, financial, transportation
and insurance industries, as well
as government and regulatory agencies,
rely on document scanners to convert
paper documents into digital images
that can be shared and stored electronically
via information technology networks.
But as business has changed, so have
document scanners. Initially, the
scanners developed and manufactured
were high-volume models capable of
scanning tens of thousands of pages
a day in large, centralized operations.
But as information technology has
permeated the workplace, more and
more companies are turning to distributed
scanning environments, using desktop
models to scan documents as they are
created or received. The Benefits of Going ‘Paperless’ If your employees spend most of the
day filing or retrieving documents,
or if you spend good money every month
to warehouse old paper records, your
buisness needs a document management
system.
